Inversion Flight Academy (IFA) was established in 2016 and is fully accredited by the South African Civil Aviation Authority. (ATO No. CAA/0381).
IFA offers a full range of training from ab-initio Private Pilots Licence and Commercial Pilots Licence to Airline Transport Pilots Licence. IFA can also instruct for Class, Night, Instructors, and Type ratings as well as Radio Telephony Courses and License Renewals.
IFA is situated at the Heidelberg Airfield in the Gauteng province of South Africa, 40 km from Johannesburg. Heidelberg airfield is a SACAA licensed airfield with its own dedicated frequency. The airfield is in excellent condition and is well maintained. There is a main tarred runway and two grass cross- runways. The dedicated General Flying area that we use for training and the HGV V.O.R navigation beacon is only ten minutes flying time away. Circuit training and cross-country navigation flights are easy due to our location.
